Hugs and Smiles Valentine

I hope your doing well.
Joy Clair has a fabulous challenge for the month of February and it involves a color palette.  The link is below and here is a pic.

Don't those raspberries look delicious.  I just love them.  And here is a pic of my card.

Here is a close up of the sentiment.

I heat embossed the sketchy florals from the Hugs and Smiles stamp set on to a piece of white cardstock, then I used Fired Brick and Bard Door Distress Inks and sponged the colors onto the cardstock.  I then stamped the sentiment onto some gray cardstock and added that.  Then the whole panel was layered onto some gray and red cardstock.    I was so happy with how this turned out.   The image really shines through those beautiful reds.

This is going to be my husband's Valentine Card.  I think he will love it.  We like to watch funny movies together and his laughter is so loud and funny.  Always cracks me up.

I am so glad you stopped by and hope you have a lovely week.

Rosie Posie

Papertrey Ink has asked what our favorite card we have ever made with their products and for me that was easy.  It was one I made using Rosie Posie.

Here is my card:

My card was inspired by Danielle's Make It Monday Challenge at Papertrey Ink several years ago.

Valentine Tag

Happy Saturday!  Stamplorations is having a Valentine Tag Party right now and it has been fun seeing all the fun things the DT has been making.  So I decided to link up to their linky and play along.  The link is below.

Here is my tag and card.

I used a tag from Recollections and spritzed some Victorian Velvet Distress Ink onto it.  Then added some Gold Gelato over the top.  Spritzed it with water to get the muddled look.  Then used a black Micron Pen to add the hearts.  The glittered love foam sentiment and heart ribbon was from my stash.  I then layered the tag onto some gray cardstock.

Thank you for stopping by and hope you have a lovely day.

I hope your doing well.
I really liked the inspiration photo they had for the Cutplorations challenge for February.  The fun colors really caught my eye.  And in the dead of Feruary I could really use those colors for a pick me up.  I focused on the hot pink and yellow.

Here is my card:

I used the Stamplorations Butterfly stencil called "Flutterby.  I used Rangers Pickled Raspberry Distress Ink with the stencil and then added the "Happy" die cut from Heidi Swap.  That panel got mounted to some dark navy blue cardstock.  Such a fun pop of color.

Thank you for stopping by and hope you have a great rest of the week.

As a side note I am also linking up to Stamplorations Never Ending Anything Goes Challenge too.

No Lines Poinsettia Card

I hope your doing well.  The current challenge over at Power Poppy's Power and Spark Challenge is No Lines Coloring.  The Link for the challenge will be below.

Here is my card:

I used the poinsettia from the Poinsettia Clear Stamp Set from Power Poppy.  I stamped my image in a light gray ink, and then used my Derwent Inktense Pencils to color it in.  I just love the rich ink colors they have.  I fussy cut the sentiment, and added a little Distress Ink to it.  I then layered it onto some red, kraft and dark brown cardstock.  I also used some lovely brown satin ribbon for the sweet bow.

I am so glad you stopped by and hope you have a great week.

Created to Create

I hope your doing well.  It has been raining here all day.  And with it being January I could really use a nice sunny day.   However sometimes we just have to find something that brings that same kind of joy to us and for me that is crafting.

This month at Power Poppy their Power and Spark Challenge is Winter Blooms.  I am sure like most midwestern gals I am starting to long for the days when I see those late winter flowers blooming.   I had a creation in mind I wanted to create for a dear friend, so I thought I would link up.  The link is below.

I have a very dear friend who is going through some difficult things in life and so I created something for her.  She loves crafting as much as I do.  I started out with the digi from Power Poppy called, Created to Create.   First I printed off the digi and then watercolored it with Derwent's Inktense Pencils.   I just love these pencils, they are so bright and have such a rich color to them.   Here's a pic.

I didn't add any spritz or splatters to the digi because I wanted to do that to the mat that came with the frame I picked up for my gift.  I spritzed it with some spritz I made using Ranger's Victorian Velvet Distress Ink and some pearl power.  It has a very pretty sheen to it and once  it dried I added some gold splatters.  Here is a picture of them together.  I just loved the way they look together.

And here is everything framed.  The frame is a pretty pink metal and really sets it off nicely.

I know my dear friend will love this and I am so happy that I can do something to brighten her day.

I am glad you stopped by and hope you have a lovely day.

Coffee In The Glilttered Snow Tag

Wow!!  Today is the last day of the coffee hop.  It has been so fun and it is always so great to see all the link ups and crafty inspiration out there on behalf of coffee, tea and hot cocoa.  I am also linking up to Ellen Hutson's Classroom 12 days of Feminine Tags.  I was so inspired by the DT's tags I had to join in the fun there.  My tag is being linked up for Day 2 of the link in the classroom.  Which was to use glitter.  Both Julia and Kay's tags with glitter inspired me to create a tag with glitter.   Here is a pic of my tag:

I used a base of white cardstock, and using the same cardstock I tore some paper for my snow drifts.  Then I added some glue and the silver glitter on top of the torn edges for my glittery snow.  Then I used the Coffee cup and lid from the Hero Arts Coffee Cups stamp set.  And to stamp it I used their Pink to Red Ombre Ink Pad.  to finish it off I gave it a sequined cup cozy and some red and white and gold twine.  Love all the glitter and sparkle.

Thank you for stopping by and hope you have a great day.  Links are below:
